Knit-On is the store's own label, started in Melbourne in 2014 and run by Simon and Rachel. Jumpers and cardigans carry most of it, with hoodies, jackets, vests, trousers, ponchos and scarves knitted in merino, cashmere and medium weight wool, alongside smaller runs in angora and down.

Started in 2014 by Simon, the Knit-On label is the store's own knitwear, sitting alongside the international brands it stocks. It covers superfine merino, Mongolian cashmere, wool and blends, all Australian designed.

Superfine merino under our own label

Knitwear under the house label is usually superfine 18.5 micron Australian merino. The Woolmark Company notes that the finer the micron, the softer the fibre, so the wool sits softly against the skin without prickle. After wool, merino is the largest fibre in the Knit-On range, appearing in jumpers, cardigans, hoodies and more.

Cashmere and wool on the same label

Cashmere, sourced from Mongolia, is the softest fibre the label uses. Blends of merino and cashmere trade a little of that softness for better wear, and pure merino covers everyday knitwear. Medium weight wool takes over where a heavier knit matters more than fineness. The label covers jumpers, cardigans, hoodies and jackets in these fibres, with prices from $89 to $699 AUD. Constructions include full zip, cable, ribbed, crew neck, roll neck and longline cardigan.
